How to Navigate the Domains Security Tab

The Security The Security tab on the Domains section of the Customer Portal has been improved to include new security management features. Along with protecting your information and defending against identity theft and fraud, we scan for malware and watch blacklists, providing you with instant notification if there are substantial status changes to your domain.

 

SMS Security Alerts Section

 

Real-time alerting keeps you aware of critical changes to your account or domain so you can take quick, corrective action. You can receive an SMS alert each time there is a change in the following:

  • Domain Privacy
  • Transfer Lock Status
  • Advanced DNS Records
  • Domain Contact Information

Follow the steps below for the following:

 

Set up SMS Alerts

Follow the instructions below to set up the alerts.

  1. Log in to your Customer Portal.
  2. Click the Domains from the left navigation menu

  3. Select the Security tab.

  4. Toggle the SMS SECURITY ALERTS to On.

  5. Click Manage.

  6. Select the services you want to receive an alert with, then click SAVE.

Change Phone Number

Follow the steps below if you want to receive the notifications from a different phone number.

  1. Click Manage under the SMS SECURITY ALERTS.

  2. Then, click CHANGE under Your alerts are being sent to:

  3. Put in the new phone number, and click NEXT.

Remove Security Alerts

Follow the steps below if you want to remove alerts for a specific service.

  1. Click Manage under the SMS Security Alerts section.

  2. Uncheck the service you want to remove the notifications.

  3. Click SAVE.

SiteLock Section

The SiteLock section allows you to manage your SiteLock service quickly.

  1. Turning SiteLock Scanning On or Off - You can easily toggle the SiteLock scanner On or Off.

    Note: It is highly recommended that you always leave it ON

  2. Manage SiteLock: You can quickly manage their SiteLock service by clicking the Manage link.

  3. You also have the option to upgrade your SiteLock plan by clicking the Upgrade Plan link.
