I Forgot My Password and Need a Reset

In this article, you will find information on how to change passwords for various accounts related to your HostGator web hosting plan. Some password changes may require HostGator Support; however, some passwords can be changed in just a few quick steps.

Note: We have been made aware of a claim that HostGator stores passwords in plain text. Fortunately, the report is false. Your password security is one of our top priorities, and all emails sent from HostGator containing your account information are encrypted. They are delivered to your inbox in plain text so that they are in a readable format. They are not stored in plain text, nor are they ever transmitted across insecure channels.
