Customer Portal - How to Login

 

When you originally signed up for your account, you received a Welcome Email containing your Customer Portal login and cPanel login information. For security reasons, the login information for the billing area is different from your hosting control panel. While your cPanel and billing area are still accessible individually through their own unique credentials, HostGator has now introduced Single Sign-On.

Single Sign-On will allow you to review your invoices and navigate through both your cPanel and Billing area with ease, just by logging in at https://portal.hostgator.com/. More information about HostGator's new Single Sign-On option can be found in the following article:


How to log in to Customer Portal

We created a video tutorial to guide you in logging into your Customer Portal and accessing the cPanel through your portal. 


Here are the steps outlined in the video above.

  1. Visit https://portal.hostgator.com/

  2. Log in with your primary email address and Customer Portal password.

Forgot your password?

If you have forgotten your Customer Portal login password:

  1. Visit https://portal.hostgator.com/
  2. Click the Forgot Password? link.

  3. Enter the primary email address for your billing account and click Request Reset.

  4. A 'Success' message will display, then you will receive an email from [email protected] with a link and instructions on how to reset your password.

  5. Click the password reset link in the email, then enter your email address and new password.

  6. Once you confirm your password, click the Reset Password button.
  7. A confirmation prompt will appear, notifying you of the successful update.

    Awesome! You can now try logging in using your new password!


Still not working?

If you're still unable to log in:

  • Ensure you are using the primary email address (the email you gave during signup).
  • Enter your email address in all lowercase.
  • Remember that the password is case-sensitive. Make sure your caps lock is off.
  • Be careful when you copy and paste. It is easy to inadvertently copy extra blank spaces at the beginning or end of your password.
