How to Identify Your Domain Registrar

Managing your domains with your current registrars should be simple. At HostGator, we previously offered domain registrations through two systems—Enom and Launchpad—both of which are now considered legacy registrars as we evolve our domain management solutions.

For new customers who are registering their domains with us, please note that your domain registrar will be Network Solutions.

In this article, we will discuss the following topics:

Identifying Your Domain Registrar

You can manage most of your domains from a single control panel in your Customer Portal. If your domain is not found in the Customer Portal, it may be registered with a different registrar. To verify this, you can use online domain lookup tools, such as the ICANN Lookup.

  1. In a browser, go to https://lookup.icann.org.
  2. Enter your domain in the search field, then click on Lookup.
  3. Scroll down to the results page and look for the Registrar Information section. Information about the domain registrant and registrar will be displayed. Please note that if the domain is utilizing Domain Privacy, the domain contact information will not be visible.
ccTLDs ("Country Code Top-level Domains") are international domains like .ca (Canada) or .in (India). Any ccTLDs purchased through HostGator can be managed and renewed at access.enom.com.

Where Can I See My Domains at HostGator?

If your domain is registered with HostGator, you can view and manage it through your HostGator Customer Portal.

  1. Log in to your HostGator Customer Portal.
  2. Click Domains on the left-side menu.

  3. Locate your domain from the list.
    • If you have a single domain in your account, you will be redirected right away to the domain management page.
       
    • If you have multiple domains in your account, you will have two views available: List View and Card View.

      Regardless of the view, click the domain you need to manage.

  4. You'll be redirected to the domain's management page.

Legacy Registrars: Launchpad or Enom

Your domain is likely registered with Launchpad if a domain lookup shows "Registration Service Provided By: LAUNCHPAD.COM, INC." or indicates "LAUNCHPAD.COM, INC." as the ICANN registrar. Domains registered with Launchpad can be managed within your Customer Portal.

Domains registered with Enom will display "Registration Service Provided By: HostGator" and/or indicate that the ICANN registrar is "Enom." In the past, Enom domains are managed within Registry Rocket. At this time, most domains registered with our legacy registrars can be viewed and managed within the Customer Portal.
