How to Purchase SiteLock for Shared, WordPress, and eCommerce Hosting
If you are a new HostGator customer, you can purchase SiteLock when signing up for web hosting. When you purchase a hosting plan in our front-of-site https://www.hostgator.com/, you will see several options available in the order form, and SiteLock is one of them.
If you already have a HostGator account, you can purchase SiteLock within your Customer Portal.
To purchase SiteLock:
- Log in to your Customer Portal.
- Click Websites from the left-side menu.
- Select the website where you'd like to add SiteLock, then click its Settings button.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click the Buy Now link under the SiteLock section.
- Make sure that you have a payment method saved on file to proceed. If you don't have one yet, you may be prompted to add your billing details.
- Once your payment method is saved, select your preferred SiteLock plan and put a checkmark on the "By selecting buy now, you agree to purchase the selected SiteLock plan with..."
- Click the Buy Now button to proceed to the Checkout page.
- Finalize the payment to complete your order.
How to Purchase SiteLock for VPS and Dedicated Hosting
For HostGator VPS and Dedicated hosting customers, you can purchase a subscription directly from SiteLock:
When you place an order directly with SiteLock, they will send you an email with instructions on how to manage your account. Please note that you cannot manage your SiteLock account through the HostGator Customer Portal.
