How to Configure HostGator’s Professional Email in Outlook

Do you use HostGator's Professional Email but prefer Outlook's familiar interface? You can easily configure your Professional Email account to work seamlessly within Outlook. This guide will help you through the step-by-step process of setting up IMAP or POP and SMTP for your HostGator Professional Email on your Outlook desktop application.

You need to enable third-party email access to set up the Professional Email on third-party applications. Please see the following article for instructions.

IMAP and POP Settings

Here are two ways to set up your Professional Email account in Outlook, depending on your preferred setting - IMAP or POP.

  • IMAP (for ongoing synchronization): This option keeps your emails constantly in sync between your devices and Outlook.
  • POP (for basic access): This option downloads your emails to your computer, but they won't be deleted from the server unless you configure additional settings.

Get Started with Your Professional Email in Outlook

Ready to manage your work emails in style? This guide will walk you through setting up your professional email account in Outlook for your chosen device. Simply click the expand of your preferred platform below to get started!

Here's how to connect your Professional Email account to your Outlook desktop application.

  1. Launch Outlook and click on the File tab.
  2. In the Account Information screen, select Add Account.
  3. Enter your complete Professional Email address and click Continue.
  4. Choose IMAP as the account type.
  5. Enter your Professional Email password and click Next.
    • If prompted for server configurations, refer to the information provided above for the Incoming (IMAP) and Outgoing (SMTP) server details.
  6. Check the box for Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).
  7. Click Next to start the account setup process.
  8. Once complete, you'll see a message confirming Account successfully added.
  9. Click Done to finalize the installation.

Now, your Professional Email should be accessible within your familiar Outlook interface!

This guide will show you how to configure your Professional Email account for use within the Outlook app on your iPhone or iPad. We'll be using IMAP to receive emails and SMTP to send them.

Here's how to get started.

  1. Launch the Outlook app on your iOS device.
  2. On the welcome screen, tap the field labeled Enter your work or personal Email Address, and then select Add Account.
  3. In the top right corner, tap Not Exchange.
  4. Choose Change account provider from the available options.
  5. Select IMAP to proceed with setting up an IMAP account.
  6. Enter your Professional Email email address, password, desired display name, and a brief description (optional).
  7. Enable Advanced settings.
  8. Under Advanced settings, fill out the following details:
    • Incoming server (IMAP): imap.titan.email
    • Port: 993
       
    • Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.titan.email
    • Port: 465
       
    • Username for both IMAP and SMTP: Your full Professional Email address
    • Password: Your Professional Email password

    Important: Double-check for any typos and ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the information you enter.

  9. Once everything is filled out correctly, tap Sign in.
  10. You'll be prompted through a series of popups. Simply tap Next » Accept » Continue to Outlook in that order.
  11. Finally, you'll be given the option to "Add another account" or "Skip. Choose Skip to finalize the setup.

Congratulations! Your Professional Email account is now successfully configured within the Outlook app on your iPhone or iPad. 

This guide will walk you through manually configuring your Professional Email account on the Outlook app for Android devices. We'll be using IMAP to receive emails and SMTP to send them.

Let's get started!

  1. Launch the Outlook app on your Android phone or tablet.
  2. Enter your complete Professional Email address and tap Continue.
  3. Choose IMAP as the account type.
  4. Fill in the following details:
    • Email address: Your Professional Email address 
    • Password: Your Professional Email Mail password
    • Display Name: The name you want displayed when sending emails (optional)
    • Description: A brief description of the account (optional)
       
  5. Enable Advanced settings.
  6. Under Advanced settings, enter the server information:
    • Incoming server (IMAP): imap.titan.email
    • Port: 993
       
    • Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.titan.email
    • Port: 465
       
    • Username for both IMAP and SMTP: Your full Professional Email address
    • Password: Your Professional Email password

    Important: Double-check for any typos and ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the information you enter.

  7. Once everything is filled out correctly, tap the checkmark icon in the top right corner.
  8. You'll be asked if you want to "Add another account" or "Skip" using the "Maybe Later" option. Choose Skip to finalize the setup.

Congratulations! Your Titan Mail account is now accessible within the Outlook app on your Android device.

This article will guide you through the steps involved in the manual setup of your Professional Email account on your MacOS device's Outlook client, with IMAP and SMTP.

To set up a Professional Email account, follow these steps: 

  1. Open the Outlook application and select Tools » Accounts. Then, select the plus (+) sign » New Account.
  2. Proceed further by typing your email address and then clicking on Continue.
  3. Enter your 'Email address', 'IMAP Username', 'IMAP Password', and then enable the option for Advanced settings.
  4. Fill out the required fields:
    • Incoming server (IMAP): imap.titan.email
    • Port: 993
       
    • Outgoing server (SMTP): smtp.titan.email
    • Port: 465

      Please note that the username for SMTP is also your registered Professional Email address.

      Ensure that the IMAP and SMTP passwords are the same as your Professional Email password.

      Also, please ensure you enable Use SSL to connect.

  5. Once you have entered the following details, click on Add Account and then on Done in the pop-up that appears after that.

That's it! Your account is set up on Outlook now.
