To celebrate, we’re putting positive vibes out in the world and we’re giving back with a donation campaign.
Meet Code2College – an org that does awesome stuff for high school students interested a career in STEM fields like web development and software engineering.
Why we’re giving back:
This year has been hella rough. We all feel it. We wanted to do something good and Snappy’s bday seemed like a perfect time to do it!
If you’ve been around HostGator for a while, you may be like ‘but wait…where’s the bday sale?’ Don’t worry. Our Black Friday will still be bangin’. But 2020 vibes have us thinking about the future of this wonderful world wide web and whose hands will be on it.
Why this organization:
We chose to donate to Code2College because we wanted to partner with a local organization where our money would make an impact. Code2College is a charity that’s local to the Austin, TX area. (If you didn’t know, our two main offices are based in Houston and Austin.) We also wanted to find an organization to help kids trying to break into the STEM fields that are the backbone of our industry. This org was a perfect fit.
Code2College is a non-profit organization that helps low-income and minority college students enter and excel in STEM majors and careers. Students can partner with Code2College as part of a multi-year program where they learn coding, website development, and web entrepreneurship skills.

How to help us give:
