WHMCS Automatic Hosting Setup Failure Troubleshoot

WHMCS can automatically create (set up) web hosting accounts on the server when a customer orders.

Troubleshooting steps

To troubleshoot automatic set up, you can try to manually create an account in WHMCS (usually one that failed to set up automatically).

  1. Go to Manage Orders in WHMCS.
  2. Click on the Order Number of the account that failed to set up automatically.
  3. On the next screen, you will see the information about the order, including the items in the order.
  4. Click on the Product (Hosting Account) that WAS not set up correctly.
  5. Check the server choice to make sure it is the right one. If not, change the server to the correct one.
  6. Click Create under Module Commands to attempt to set it up manually.
  7. Confirm that you want to create the account.
  8. It will either say the module was completed successfully, in which case there is no problem, or it will show an error message indicating the problem.
