Ensure Your Billing and Credit Addresses Match
One of the most common errors when making a credit card payment is caused by a mismatch in billing addresses between your credit card account and your HostGator billing account. Update your contact information in your Customer Portal to match your credit card billing address.
Attempt to Make a Manual Payment
Attempting to pay your invoice in the Customer Portal manually may process an automatic payment that has failed. The following article will assist with making a manual payment:
Attempt to Charge Your Card Through PayPal
If a manual payment fails, you may attempt to create a PayPal account with your credit card and make a payment using your credit card through your PayPal account. We do not charge fees for making your payment through PayPal.
Contact Your Financial Institution
Suppose you still cannot process a payment directly through your Customer Portal or via PayPal. In that case, you may need to contact your credit card issuer for further assistance with making credit card payments.
