How Much Disk Space Do I Get for Email?
Shared hosting plans
While the Shared hosting plans support different numbers of websites, they still come with unmetered bandwidth. This means your use of emails and web hosting space is not charged according to the bandwidth you typically use in normal business website operations. However, please note that there are physical limitations. For more information, please visit our Terms of Service page.
Reseller hosting plans
The Reseller hosting plans all come with limited disk space and bandwidth. This means you must allocate disk space to each cPanel. The disk space allocated to a cPanel is also the limit for email storage. Again, there are physical server limitations, so please learn more on our Terms of Service page.
VPS hosting plans
The VPS hosting plans all come with limited disk space and bandwidth. This means you must allocate disk space to each cPanel. The disk space allocated to a cPanel is also the limit for email storage. If you need more disk space to allocate, you may view the link How Do I Upgrade My Account to a Better Plan? Again, your container has physical limitations, so pay attention to the total disk space on your account.
Dedicated hosting plans
The Dedicated hosting plans all come with limited disk space and bandwidth. This means you must allocate disk space to each control panel. The disk space allocated to a control panel is also the limit for email storage. If you need more disk space to allocate, you may purchase a more powerful server or purchase SAN. View the article How to Add Additional RAM and Hard Drives for this. Again, your server has physical limitations, so pay attention to the total disk space on your account.
While the Shared Hatchling plan has a 100MB email storage limit, the rest of the hosting plans, including Shared Baby and Business, have unlimited email storage capacity. However, please note that this so-called "email space" should not exceed the set threshold of disk space per hosting plan.
Limit emails to a quota
Of course, when you create any email account, you can apply an optional quota for that specific email name. This quota will prevent the email user from using all the disk space for your control panel. Please refer to the article, How to Adjust Email Quota in cPanel, for more information.
Disk space usage
Want to check the capacity of your server for disk space usage? You can do so in your cPanel. Please visit the article, Viewing Disk Space and Bandwidth Usage for Shared Account, for more information.
