Can I Transfer my Current SSL to my New Hosting?
You can retain your current Sectigo SSL certificate or third‑party SSL certificate and install it on your new hosting provider. The SSL certificate will still be used for the same domain name, making the SSL transfer process straightforward.
If you already own a Sectigo or a third‑party SSL certificate, you can either request an SSL installation via the Customer Portal for a fee of $10.00, or you can install the SSL certificate in cPanel using the instructions in the following article: How do I use the third-party SSL certificate I purchased?
Note: You cannot transfer or take the Free Let's Encrypt SSL with you to a new host. The Free Let's Encrypt SSL will be reissued automatically as long as the domain is pointed to the new HostGator server.
