Suspending/Unsuspending Accounts
With WHM, you can suspend and unsuspend cPanel accounts. This capability allows account owners to disable subordinate cPanel accounts without deleting the account or content within it.
Suspending an Account
To suspend an account:
- Log in to WHM.
- Find the Account Functions in the left side menu and click on Manage Account Suspension.
- Select the primary domain or username of the account(s) you wish to suspend in the Manage Account Suspension.
- You can provide a reason for suspending the account(s) in the Reason field, but it's optional.
- Press the Suspend button to deactivate the account.
- Congratulations! You now know how to suspend an account in WHM.
Unsuspending an Account
Restoring services to an account that has been suspended in WHM is relatively easy. There are 2 quick ways to do it.
The first way is:
- Log in to WHM.
- Find the Account Functions in the left side menu and click on Manage Account Suspension.
- In the Manage Account Suspension, you will see a list of all accounts in your system, the domains or username highlighted in pink are accounts that have been suspended.
- Select the primary domain or username of the account(s) you wish to unsuspend.
- Press the Unsuspend button to restore the account.
Another way to unsuspend the account:
- Find the Account Information section and click List Suspended Accounts.
- You will see the list of the currently suspended account and the reason.
- Next to the account, you wish to unsuspend, press the Unsuspend button.
- Congratulations! You now know how to unsuspend an account in WHM.
