When You Contact Support
If you find yourself needing to contact HostGator, you'll want to have the following account information handy before reaching out to us.
- Domain Name - The domain associated with the hosting package.
- Admin Email - The primary contact email associated with the account.
- Security PIN - The 4-8 digit PIN for the account. The PIN is created during sign-up and is used to verify the account.
- Customer Portal Login: The Customer Portal email and password login credentials. Providing valid login credentials for the Customer Portal will verify the account.
At HostGator, we take security and privacy very seriously. Once your account is located, we will verify the account in order to further answer specific questions and assist with the account. Please be prepared to provide us with the Security PIN or another form of verification. If you are unable to verify the account, we will be able to answer general questions - just nothing specifically about the account.
