Changing Name Servers with Wild West Domains

While HostGator cannot modify DNS at third party registrars on your behalf, we can provide you with instructions on how to do so. Here's how you can change your DNS at Wild West Domains.
Wild West Domains offers services to resellers and does not allow non-reseller customers to register domains directly with them. If a WHOIS search indicates that Wild West Domains is the registrar, the domain itself is most likely registered through one of its many resellers.

Step 1: Find the DNS for your hosting account

Step 2: Change your DNS

You will need to visit the website or contact the reseller that you registered your domain to change the DNS. Since Wild West Domains offers resellers an API, reseller websites can vary dramatically; so it is difficult to give specific instructions that will work across all Wild West resellers.

Wild West Domains resellers using default website

If the reseller is using Wild West Domains' provided website, the following instructions may work for you:

1. Log in to the Account Manager at the website you registered your domain with.*
2. Next to Settings, then click Domains.
3. Select the domain name(s) you want to modify.
4. In the Default Nameservers section, select Use Custom Parked Nameservers
5. Enter the name servers you wish to use.
6. Click Save.

Wild West Domain resellers using an API

When resellers use an API, they have full control of their website and how it works, meaning that the flow and steps may vary drastically from reseller to reseller. Unfortunately, this means we cannot give step-by-step instructions for these types of Wild West resellers. You will need to contact the reseller or review their help documentation for specific steps.
