Guide to Invoices

All of your payment transactions at HostGator are documented through invoices and are created and paid through your Customer Portal.

In this article, we will go over where to find your invoices, how to read if an invoice is paid or unpaid, and then how to read an invoice based on the product type, like addons, domains, and hosting plans.

Where do I find my invoices?

There are two sections in your Customer Portal where you will see your invoices - the Billing History and Make a Payment sections.

Billing History

In the Billing History section, you will see the other invoices in your HostGator account. Both paid and unpaid invoices are listed here.

You will notice that the unpaid invoices have their due amount listed under the Balance column. If the invoice is paid, the Balance column will display "$0.00," and the date when the payment was made will be reflected under the Date Paid column.

Make a Payment

The Make a Payment section is where you will find your unpaid invoices and future invoices for upcoming payments. Please note that if there is a past due invoice in your account, there will be no option to pay future invoices. Past due invoices need to be paid first before you can settle your future invoices. You can pay your invoices in this section using your card, PayPal account, or accumulated credits.

For instructions on how to pay your invoices, check out the article Customer Portal - Make a Payment.
