To purchase or renew services within your HostGator account, we accept the following payment methods:
If you need assistance with purchasing or renewing services in your account feel free to contact us:Phone
or Live Chat
We currently accept any credit or debit card with a MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express logo. If your payment method has expired within your account, your subscription services may still auto-renew; however, you will still want to ensure you have the most up-to-date information by editing your account details.
Prepaid cards and gift cards can be any temporary card not tied to your personal information and may or may not be accepted depending on several factors. As with a regular credit or debit card, prepaid and gift cards must show the MasterCard, Visa, Discovery, or American Express logo in order to be used.
Some prepaid card and gift card issuers allow you to register your card, typically through their website. In some cases, registering your card and entering your name and mailing address is required in order for them to work with an online purchase. If you experience an issue with your prepaid/gift card, be sure you have looked into the card issuer’s information on how to register the card (usually listed on the back of the card).
On the back of the card, you should also see a support phone number. We recommend calling this number to ensure proper setup has occurred.
Since PayPal is one of the most widely accepted forms of payment worldwide, you can use or switch to this payment method within your HostGator account. To pay your account subscriptions with PayPal, you must first be a verified PayPal account holder and have linked your PayPal to your account with us.
We do not accept:
- Cash payments
- Bank wire transfers
- Money Order (M.O.)
