How to Upload to an Addon or Subdomain

Option 1

  1. In an FTP client, enter this information
    Host = addon domain name
    User = addondomain@primarydomain.com
    Password = what you entered during addon domain creation
    Port = 21
  2. Once you have successfully connected to your FTP client, you will be in the root of the addon domain.
  3. If everything was successful, you should see a folder called cgi-bin.
  4. Upload your files.
  5. Enjoy your new site.

Option 2

  1. In an FTP client, enter this information:
    Host = primary domain name
    User = cPanel username
    Password = cPanel password
    Port = 21
  2. Once you have successfully connected to your FTP client, you will be in the home directory.
  3. Double click the public_html folder, then double-click the addon domain folder.
  4. Upload your files.
  5. Enjoy your new site.
You do not need to upload or create the cgi-bin folder. The cPanel will automatically create this folder with each new Addon and Subdomain creation.
