How Do I Get the 30-day Money Back Refund?

To get the 30-day money-back guarantee, please cancel your hosting plan within the first 30 days of purchase. We cannot refund you until the cancelation request is complete. Please contact HostGator's Support via phone or chat within the first 30 days of purchase so we can assist you with your cancelation and refund requests.
The 30-day money-back guarantee applies to the following hosting plans:
This policy does not apply to the following:
- Dedicated hosting
- Domain registration fees
- Services with a monthly term
- Administrative fees, installation fees for custom software, other setup fees
- Any fees for addon services, for example, SiteLock
Here are the guidelines and restrictions to our 30-day money-back guarantee policy.
- The offer is valid only for the first package purchased for billing accounts less than 30 days old.
- Refunds for orders of only $0.01 are not eligible.
- Packages paid for with checks, money orders, or bank wire transfers are not eligible for a refund.
- If your plan includes a free domain name and you cancel within one year, our standard fee for the domain name (and any applicable taxes) will be deducted from your refund.
Notes:
- Please refer to Section 13 of our Terms of Service to read the complete details about our money-back guarantee.
- We can only issue refunds to the original payment method unless we encounter an error on our side that prevents us from doing so. Please note that no exceptions can be made.
- Please allow up to two weeks for the refunded amount to be credited to your account.
- If you paid through PayPal, please remember to cancel any subscription or billing agreement to avoid additional charges.
