Credit Card Account Updates
If you have a Visa® or MasterCard® card as your primary credit card on file with HostGator and the credit card number or expiration date changes, do not be alarmed if you notice your credit card information has been updated within your Customer Portal, since we participate in the Automatic Account Updater programs at both merchants.
The programs allow sharing updated account information from your credit card company and HostGator.

Once a recurring billing authorization is submitted to your credit card company, this is when the sharing process begins.
When we receive new account information, HostGator automatically updates your billing profile, and any pending transactions will attempt to be processed.
You will need to contact your credit card company to verify if your bank participates in the programs.
