SSL Certificate Warranty

All SSL certificates include a limited warranty.

SSL's warranty is payable if it fails to properly validate the information contained in a digital certificate, and if this failure causes the end-user to lose money in connection with a fraudulent online credit card transaction.

This warranty is payable only if the transaction amount is no greater than the Maximum Transaction Value identified below for the relevant certificate type. Only up to the Maximum Transaction Value may be paid out per transaction. The aggregate warranty amount paid out per SSL certificate (the Warranty Level) varies by certificate type as set forth here:

Single Domain SSL Wildcard DV SSL Extended Validation SSL
Max. Transaction Value $5,000 $1,000 $10,000
Warranty Level $10,000 $10,000 $1,750,000
