Build an Inventory Import/Export Format
The Import Formats feature in Ecomdash is utilized to specify how .csv files are interpreted, while the Export Formats feature determines how the .csv file is written when it comes to exports. These files can be used to either create new products or update existing ones.
In this article, we will discuss how to add and set up the Inventory Import/Export Formats.
How to Build an Inventory Import/Export Format
Ecomdash utilizes a set of instructions (Inventory Import/Export Format) to import and/or export products in bulk. These formats can be customized to suit your store's needs and specifications. You will need to set this up before you import or export inventory in bulk.
- From your WordPress Dashboard, log in to the Ecomdash dashboard.
- On the Ecomdash dashboard, click on Settings in the menu and select Bulk Import/Export from the dropdown.
- On the next page, select from the following options:
- Manual Import Formats
- Integrated Import Formats
- Manual Export Formats
- Integrated Export Formats
- Click the View button below the format you selected.
- Click Add New.
- Configure your format, and then click the Verify format Matches File button.
- Once verified, click the Save button.
You should now be able to import or export your inventory via a .csv file.
